Her work has recently been the subject of an essay entitled <a href=\"http:\/\/whitechickenblog.blogspot.com\/2013\/09\/doyle-ersatz-life.html\">\u201cDoyle &amp; The Ersatz Life,\u201d<\/a> written by the poet and critic Michelle Lewis. In her examination of Caitlin\u2019s poetry, Lewis writes:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuch has been made of her work with rhyme and wordplay, which she employs to heighten the ominousness of her subjects\u2026 But something more complex than wordplay is at work\u2026 Her true aim is something different, and serves a specific purpose: to examine the merits and dysfunctions of faux worlds (call them self-delusion, fantasy, or simply nothingness) that haunt and displace traditional realities\u2026 These mirror images bleed together, Escher-like and unsettling\u2026 Doyle is keenly attuned to the haunting counterparts to the authentic\u2026\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/whitechickenblog.blogspot.com\/2013\/09\/doyle-ersatz-life.html\">You can read the rest of the essay by clicking here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Caitlin is currently in residence at the James Merrill House in Stonington, CT, where she will spend September on a fellowship as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesmerrillhouse.org\/writers_in_residence.htm\">Merrill House Writer-In-Residence<\/a>. Her other recent literary honors include the Margaret Bridgman Scholarship through the 2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/blwc\">Bread Loaf Writers\u2019 Conference<\/a> and a finalist designation in the 2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poetryfoundation.org\/foundation\/prizes_fellowship\">Ruth Lilly Fellowship<\/a> competition<a href=\"http:\/\/www.poetryfoundation.org\/foundation\/prizes_fellowship\"><\/a>. In addition, her poetry has been included in the just-released anthology and craft book <a href=\"http:\/\/windpub.com\/books\/crafty.htm\"><i>The Crafty Poet: A Portable Workshop<\/i><\/a>, edited by Diane Lockward.
