She is currently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vcca.com\/main\/index.php\">a writing resident at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts<\/a>; next, she will be a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.akademie-solitude.de\/en\/fellowship\/fellows\/~3548\/\">2013-2014 Literature Fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude<\/a> in Stuttgart, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle has a creative nonfiction essay, <a href=\"http:\/\/blr.med.nyu.edu\/content\/archive\/2013\/spring\">&#8220;Go Out as Clear,&#8221;<\/a> published in the Spring 2013 issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/blr.med.nyu.edu\/\">Bellevue Literary Review<\/a>.<a href=\"http:\/\/blr.med.nyu.edu\/content\/archive\/2013\/spring\"><\/a> She also has an essay, &#8220;Sacking Berlin,&#8221; in the recent issue of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebaffler.com\/current\">The Baffler<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mitpressjournals.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1162\/BFLR_a_00185\">&#8220;Sacking Berlin&#8221;<\/a> is about the &#8220;hipsters, expats, yummies, and smartphones&#8221; taking over the city.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Sterling teaches at the Boston Conservatory and The University of Hong Kong, and has taught creative writing at Boston University. Her fiction and essays have appeared in <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldoflemon.com\/\">LEMON<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/maisonneuve.org\/\">Maisonneuve<\/a><\/i>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.matrixmagazine.org\/\"><i>Matrix<\/i><\/a>, among others.
