Dariel also has work forthcoming in <a href=\"http:\/\/prairieschooner.unl.edu\/\">Prairie Schooner<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/floridareview.cah.ucf.edu\/\">The Florida Review<\/a>. All are stories that he worked on while in workshops at BU with Leslie Epstein, Sigrid Nunez, and Ha Jin.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, Dariel!<\/p>\n<p>Dariel Suarez is a Cuban-born writer who came to the United States in 1997. He is a fiction co-editor at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloodlotusjournal.com\/\">Blood Lotus Journal<\/a> and a founding editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/middlegraymag.com\/\">Middle Gray Magazine<\/a>. He has taught creative writing at Boston University and the Boston Arts Academy, and is teaching this fall at BU\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\">Metropolitan College<\/a>. Dariel\u2019s writing has appeared or is forthcoming in numerous journals and magazines, including Gargoyle, <a href=\"http:\/\/necessaryfiction.com\/stories\/DarielSuarezSweetSaltwater\">Necessary Fiction<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/baltimorereview.org\/index.php\/summer_2013\/contributor\/dariel-suarez\">Baltimore Review<\/a> (links are to online texts of his work), as well as several anthologies. He\u2019s recently completed a story collection set in his native country, and he\u2019s at work on a novel about a Cuban political prisoner, titled The Playwright\u2019s House.
