Great news from Shubha Sunder (fiction 2012), who has had not one, but\u00a0two<\/em> short stories published in journals recently! \u00a0“The Footbridge”<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>appears\u00a0in the winter issue of the Michigan Quarterly Review<\/em><\/a>, and “Second Language<\/a>”\u00a0can be read online at The Bangalore Review<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Congratulations, Shubha! \u00a0And we’re looking forward to reading your novel when it comes out.<\/p>\n

Shubha Sunder (Fiction 2012) is currently at work on her first novel, titled\u00a0Boomtown Girl<\/em>.\u00a0Her stories have most recently appeared in the\u00a0Michigan Quarterly Review, The Bangalore Review<\/em>, and\u00a0Narrative Magazine<\/em>, where she was a winner of the 2012 “30 Below” contest. At BU\u00a0she won the Robert Fitzgerald Prize\u00a0and the\u00a0Shmuel Traum Prize\u00a0for her translation of Marcel Proust. She also won the Florence Engel Randall Graduate Fiction Award, and a\u00a0Leslie Epstein Global Fellowship, which\u00a0took her to Russia.
