In addition to a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/crwr\/2015\/04\/24\/tara-skurtu-receives-fulbright-publishes-new-work\/\">Fulbright<\/a> and a poem <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/crwr\/2015\/05\/11\/tara-skurtus-poem-on-the-red-line\/\">recently published on the T<\/a>, Tara&#8217;s poem &#8220;Night Communion&#8221; will appear in the July issue of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/plumepoetry.com\/2015\/05\/editors-note\/\">Plume<\/a><\/em> online,\u00a0&#8220;Long Poem, Bucharest&#8221; is\u00a0in the spring issue of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.poetrywales.co.uk\/currentissue\/\" target=\"_blank\">Poetry Wales<\/a><\/em>, and her poems &#8220;Desire&#8221; and &#8220;Limit&#8221; appear in the newest issue of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.redividerjournal.org\" target=\"_blank\">Redivider<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Tara notes that this recent work was inspired by her\u00a0time in Romania, where she traveled as a Robert Pinsky Global Fellow.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, Tara!<\/p>\n<p><span>Tara Skurtu teaches incarcerated college students through Boston University\u2019s Prison Education Program. She is the recipient of a 2015-16 Fulbright, a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship, and two Academy of American Poets prizes. Tara\u2019s poems have been translated into Romanian and Hungarian, and her recent work appears or is forthcoming in\u00a0<\/span><em>The Kenyon Review,\u00a0Poetry Review,\u00a0Poetry Wales, Plume,\u00a0Memorious,\u00a0DMQ Review, The Common<\/em><span>,\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><em>Tahoma Literary Review<\/em><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tara Skurtu (poetry &#8217;13) continues to\u00a0be one of our most prolific alumni.
