The story is set in 1980 Argentina during the country\u2019s last military dictatorship, where tens of thousands of people disappeared at the hands of the regime. I am currently working on turning that story into a novel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We also asked Jordan what he was reading these days, and he says, &#8220;Two authors I\u2019ve been devouring lately are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/fiction\/6247\/the-weirdos-ottessa-moshfegh\">Ottessa Moshfegh<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/entertainment\/books\/dan-chaons-ill-will-is-the-scariest-novel-of-the-year\/2017\/03\/06\/1ba3cc8c-fe8d-11e6-8f41-ea6ed597e4ca_story.html?utm_term=.3098af9b637a\">Dan Chaon<\/a>. I love their voice, style, and the subject matter that seems to interest them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, Jordan!<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Coriza is from Argentina, the primary inspiration and setting for his fiction. A longtime resident of Boston, Jordan makes a living as a communications professional for a global health NGO.
