June 2-5 in Boston, Domenic Screnci, program co-chair of our joint Metropolitan College/College of Communication Master of Science in Health Communication (Health Comm) degree program will be a keynote speaker and Steve Quigley, also program co-chair, as well as Pauline Hamel and Tom Fauls, Heath Comm instructors, will be presenting at the upcoming Revolutionary Ideas in BioCommunications Conference. The conference is a combined meeting of the BioCommunications Association, Association of Biomedical Communications Directors, and the Health and Science Communications Association.
- Dr. Screnci’s topic will be “Darwin and the Survival of the Health Communicator.”
- Dr. Quigley will be giving a presentation entitled “Social Media for Professional Communicators.”
- Dr. Hamel will give a presentation with Tim Sullivan (Health Comm facilitator and Director of Communications for Partners Health Care System) and Mario Nacinovich (Health Comm graduate and facilitator) entitled “All Together Now: Online coursework, collaboration, and the learning community” concerning the multi-disciplinary curriculum of the online MS in Health Communication.
- Dr. Fauls will be presenting on Search Engine Marketing.
