{"id":1329,"date":"2013-05-21T11:16:56","date_gmt":"2013-05-21T16:16:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/ellisrp\/?p=1329"},"modified":"2013-05-21T11:28:38","modified_gmt":"2013-05-21T16:28:38","slug":"congrats-to-our-570-new-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/ellisrp\/2013\/05\/congrats-to-our-570-new-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"Congrats to our 570 New Graduates!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I invite you to join me in celebrating our Class of 2013\u00a0<b> Department of Economics<\/b> graduates.<\/p>\n<p>This past weekend, Boston University&#8217;s College of Arts and Sciences Department of Economics awarded degrees to<\/p>\n<p>21\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PhD students<br \/>\n257 MA students\u00a0 of all kinds (MA, MAPE, MAEP, MAGDE MA\/MBA, BA\/MA)<br \/>\n292 BA students<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all 570 degree recipients!<\/p>\n<p>The number of graduate degree recipients (278) fell behind the number of\u00a0 BA students (292) with strong grown in both!<\/p>\n<p>Last year (2012) there were 15 PhDs, 245 MA degree recipients, and 257 BA recipients.
