He was voted captain and team\u2019s MVP in his senior year.<\/p>\n<p>A great fielder with a rifle arm, \u201cWoody\u201dcould also hit. Over his three years he accumulated 60 hits,7 home runs,44 RBIs, a .337 league average and did not miss a game in his three- year career.<\/p>\n<p>Woody was named to Coach Bob Crocker\u2019s All-Time Team. Coach Crocker: <em>\u201cJimmy is one of the finest athletes I have ever coached. He was the perfect captain because he had the respect of every man on the team.
