Hamid Nawab <\/strong>is\u00a0Professor of\u00a0<strong>Electrical and Computer Engineering.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">He is Joint Professor of\u00a0<strong>Biomedical Engineering<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">His research interests are in<strong>\u00a0intelligent signal patternization (ISP)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>for solving perceiving machine problems in speech, hearing, and neuroscience.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">He\u00a0<em>co-pioneered<\/em> the\u00a0<strong>Integrated Processing and Understanding of Signals (IPUS)<\/strong> architecture for developing ISP \u00a0solutions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">He was elected into the\u00a0<strong><strong>College of\u00a0Fellows <\/strong>of the\u00a0<strong>American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering<\/strong> (AIMBE) in 2006.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">He was cited by AIMBE for his\u00a0&#8220;<em>contributions to the analysis of complex biosignals from speech, auditory, and neuromuscular systems.<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><span>He won the\u00a01993 <strong>Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching<\/strong> from Boston University.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><span>He has published <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">over<strong> 100 peer-reviewed articles<\/strong> <\/span><span>in journals, international conference proceedings, and research books.
