Hoochie\u00a0is proud to announce that its fifth zine issue SKIN, is now open for submissions. SKIN promotes the recognition of the body as a political battleground for those oppressed by the principles of a patriarchal society. Demanding the abdication of the worldview of the bodies of women, people of color, and trans folk as commodities,<\/p>\n

SKIN is self-love.<\/p>\n

SKIN is pride.<\/p>\n

SKIN is resistance.<\/p>\n

LOOKING FOR:<\/h4>\n

– CREATIVE WRITING (Poetry, Short stories, etc.)<\/p>\n

– CRITICAL WRITING (Essays, critical commentary, op eds, etc.)<\/p>\n

– ART (Illustrations, doodles, painting, photography, etc.)<\/p>\n

SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES<\/h2>\n

– Submitted written pieces should NOT exceed 750 words<\/p>\n

– Submitted art and photographs should be scanned and submitted in high resolution (300 dpi)<\/p>\n

– Include your name, pronouns social media handle, 2-sentence author bio, and brief description of the work(s) submitted<\/p>\n
