{"id":114,"date":"2009-09-30T19:05:41","date_gmt":"2009-09-30T23:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/hoochie\/?p=114"},"modified":"2017-10-31T20:06:57","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T00:06:57","slug":"publication-of-interest-phoebe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/hoochie\/2009\/09\/30\/publication-of-interest-phoebe\/","title":{"rendered":"Publication of interest: Phoebe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Women\u2019s &amp; Gender Studies at SUNY Oneonta publishes a semiannual journal, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oneonta.edu\/academics\/womens\/Phoebe\/\">Phoebe: Gender and Cultural Critique <\/a><\/em>, which fosters intellectual exchanges between scholars of women\u2019s and gender studies &amp; gender &amp; sexuality studies within SUNY, across the country and abroad.<\/p>\n<p><em>Phoebe <\/em>publishes works which explore different methodological approaches to provocative questions about gender, and gender\u2019s intersections with sexuality, race, ethnicity, and class. <em>Phoebe <\/em>has published numerous award winning poets \u2014 Wanda Coleman, Lyn Lifshin, Rita Ann Higgins; short storywriters \u2014 Merrill Joan Gerber, Janice Eidus, Lisa Chewning; and accomplished scholars \u2014 Bettina Aptheker, Teresa Ebert, Marilyn Wesley, Vivien Burr, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The journal accepts submissions year round. Submissions can be mailed to <em>Phoebe<\/em>, c\/o Women\u2019s and Gender Studies, SUNY Oneonta, Oneonta, New York 13820.
