PM200: Introduction to Project, Program, and Portfolio Management

PM200 is a self-paced experience which will familiarize you with Program and Portfolio management. In this lab you will master Microsoft PPM and make further progress in your journey as you transition from projects to programs and portfolios.  You will have the opportunity to browse through carefully crafted PowerPoint presentations (which are also recorded as tutorials) and then, as  students of more advanced courses in Program and Portfolio Management, to then try this out yourself using Microsoft PPM software.

In this lab, you will be exposed to an exciting case study of a medical device firm called Terrier Health which is introducing new hardware and software products and services that allow medical professionals to better serve their patients. Following along with – and interacting with – Terrier Health’s portfolio of projects, you will obtain a clear understanding of the core principles of program management.

PM200 will put you in the driver’s seat so that you use MS-PPM software to make decisions about:

  • which projects to launch
  • how to maintain a family of projects in a program
  • what and how to report to leadership regarding
