Bio

I am currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 2008 and my M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University in January 2015. My Ph.D. advisor at Boston University was Venkatesh Saligrama.

My current work focuses on machine learning problems in the presence of resource constraints. The goal is to design machine learning algorithms that combine state-of-the-art performance with reduced test-time computational cost, energy use, sensor demands, etc.

Past work has included convex and non-convex approaches to local learning, efficient learning of non-linear low-rank manifolds, and analysis of Markov group testing.
