Hi! My name is Kate and I’m a fourth year PhD candidate in the Astronomy Department at Boston University. I’m working with Prof. Luke Moore to map upper atmospheric temperatures and ion densities at Jupiter to better understand energy transport methods and gain basic constraints on local physical conditions.
My primary research interests are centered on learning more about the origins of diversity in our solar system despite a seemingly small variety of prevalent elements and compounds. There are still so many things to learn about our strange corner of the universe!
