Professional/Graduate Programs Panel for Staff: 5/3, 12:30-2:00pm

Dear Arts & Sciences colleagues,

The CAS Professional Development Committee is hosting a panel about professional/graduate programs for staff today, Wednesday May 3rd from 12:30pm to 2:00pm in KCB 106!

This panel will seek to inform CAS staff about various professional/graduate programs across the University.

Majella Dermody, Senior Service Center Manager at BU HR, will provide a brief presentation about the University’s Tuition Remission Benefit (how does it work? What are the tax implications?).

Following the presentation, a panel discussion will begin featuring the following staff members who are/were graduate students:

  1. Liz Burke, Financial Analyst (Metropolitan’s Applied Business Analytics certificate)
  2. Kelly Capri, Academic Advisor (Wheelock’s Higher Education Administration program)
  3. Anna Criscitiello, Graduate Services & Program Associate (Wheelock’s Counseling program)
  4. Rachel Edwards, Program Administrator for African American & Black Diaspora Studies (Questrom’s Professional Evening Business Administration program)
  5. Yumi Kim, Program Administrator for Neuroscience (School of Public Health’s Public Health program)
  6. Veronica Little, Department Administrator for Anthropology (Graduate School’s English & American Literature program)
  7. Olivia McCargar, Program Coordinator for Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies (Metropolitan’s Computer Science program and certificate)
  8. Camryn McMurtry, Program Coordinator for Student Leadership Programs (Wheelock’s Higher Education Administration program)
  9. Julia Martorell, Undergraduate Academic Advisor for History (Metropolitan’s Arts Administration program)

There will be an audience Q&A to provide attendees the opportunity to ask any questions that they might have. Handouts on various graduate programs/contacts will also be provided.
