CAS/GRS ProDev BOOKCLUB – Summer 2019

The CAS/GRS Professional Development Committee Book Club is back for another session! This time around we will be reading Educated, a memoir by Tara Westover about her troubled upbringing and her educational journey from being self-taught to receiving her PhD. We’re hoping for lively discussions about the impacts of higher education, about the importance of learning, and also about Westover’s transformative life in general.

We will be meeting twice to discuss Educated, on August 7th from 11am to 12pm (location TBD) and on August 21st from 1pm – 2pm (location TBD). We will be discussing the first half of the book during the meeting on the 7th and the second half of the book on the 21st.

If you are interested in participating in this summer’s Book Club, please complete the following form by next Friday, July 19th:
