Meet the ProDev Committee

Committee members and their contact information are listed below. Whether you are a CAS veteran or new to CAS or BU, please do not hesitate to contact these members with questions, thoughts, or to simply grab a cup of coffee and conversation.

Margaret Barch mbarch@bu.edu
Margaret works as the Undergraduate Program Administrator within the Physics department here at BU. She is the first year advisor for all Physics majors and is point of contact for all students enrolled in physics courses. She is responsible for assigning and implementing department schedules and overseeing all waitlists, projects, senior thesis and undergraduate events – including but not limited to the Physics Commencement. In her spare time you can find her doing any and every outdoor activity, reading, spending time with her cat (Trout) and bearded dragon (Fergus), and somehow finding a way to bring up both Harry Styles and Vermont into every conversation she has.

Liam Dingle ldingle@bu.edu
Liam is the graduate program coordinator for the PhD program in the department of Political Science. Liam’s role in the program is to assist with financial aid, admissions, and course registration. He joined the department of Political Science in October 2021, having previously worked at BU’s Healthway department for over a year. He graduated with a B.A. in History and a minor in MENA Studies from the College of Wooster in 2019.

Brendan Fraser fraserb@bu.edu
Brendan has been working at Boston University since May 2021, but is not new to higher Education. He has been working in Higher Education for over 12 years, mainly in an Advising capacity. He currently works as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor overseeing a caseload of students in both the History and Political Science departments. He received his Master’s in Education in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Salem State University in 2018 and is currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University pursuing his M. A. in English.

Molly German (co-Chair) mgerman@bu.edu
Molly grew up in the North Shore and graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Boston University in 2021. In her current role as Senior Program Coordinator of the Department of History, Molly oversees History academic planning, space management, event programming, and faculty and undergraduate administrative operations. She also manages communication systems, including the department website, newsletters, and social medias. During her free time, Molly creates paintings and collages inspired by collections of recycled materials, photographs, and objects. Outside of art, she loves reading memoirs and listening to spooky podcasts.

Arthur Peterson (co-Chair) apeter@bu.edu
Arthur Peterson is the Assistant Director of Faculty Actions for the Office of Faculty Actions in the College of Arts & Sciences. Arthur oversees the appointment of academic researchers and part-time lecturers for the College, among other academic personnel matters. Previously, he spent six wonderful years serving the Department of Classical Studies, first as Program Coordinator (2016-19) and then as Department Administrator (2019-22), winning a 2022 Outstanding Service Award for his work at the Department. A member of the Committee since 2021, Arthur is Chair of the CAS Professional Development Committee for academic year 2022-23. He loves Boston University and his work very much, and is proud of the staff community at Arts & Sciences!

Nico Quesada nquesada@bu.edu
Nico currently serves as the Program Associate for the Society of Fellows and Graduate Professional Development. In this role he is the administrator for the newly launched Society of Fellows program which aims to foster interdisciplinary conversations in academia and support emerging postdoctoral scholars committed to DEI initiatives. He also supports the Graduate School office as the coordinator for all PhD financial aid programs and fellowships. An alum of the Archaeology Program and History of Art and Architecture department, he is interested in the conversations between the development museum collections and cultural identity, with a particular focus on early modern Japanese photography.

Elise St. Esprit has been serving as the Department Administrator for Sociology since September 2022 and has been working in higher education for the past eight years. At BU she mainly works with graduate students and faculty in a variety of areas including funding, course planning and registration, and more! In her free time, Elise enjoys spending time outdoors, making art and exploring everything Boston has to offer. She is thrilled to be joining the Professional Development Committee for AY 23/24!

Liz Burke lizburke@bu.edu
Liz Burke is the Financial Analyst for the Business Office in the College of Arts and Sciences. In this role Liz oversees budgets for CAS and provides financial training and assistance for department administrators. She graduated from Boston College in 2018, where she double majored in Applied Psychology and Theology. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Business Analytics from BU’s Metropolitan College.

Rachel Edwards rachel26@bu.edu 
Rachel Edwards is the administrator of the African American & Black Diaspora Studies Program at Boston University. As program administrator, Rachel oversees day-to-day program operations including graduate and undergraduate recruitment and support, course scheduling and maintenance, public programming and events, and financial management. Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in African American Studies from Boston University. She is a proud alumna of the African American & Black Diaspora Studies Program, and she worked for the Program as a student employee throughout her undergraduate career.

Maria H. Sousa has been serving as the Administrator for the Archaeology Program and the Journal of Field Archaeology since September 2018, winning a 2023 Outstanding Service Award for her work. She is thrilled to be joining the Professional Development Committee for AY 23/24!

Alison Currier is the Academic Program Coordinator for the CAS Undergraduate Academic Programming Office. In her role, Alison oversees operations and projects that support the curriculum and academic programs within CAS. When not at work, Alison loves spending time with her dog Moose, enjoying live music, and cooking.
