Some common functions that you will perform almost daily is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>University Class Schedule<\/strong> &#8211; look at the current university class schedule with classes offered, instructors, class size, and class location. It will also allow to view schedules for the past few semesters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Select Student<\/strong> &#8211; search for a student&#8217;s records by their BU ID or first + last name.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Student by Class List<\/strong> &#8211; find the student information for any certain class that is currently being offered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Student List by Advisor<\/strong> &#8211; find the list of advisees for a certain faculty or staff member.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/faculty-staff\/glossary\/\">University Information System (UIS)<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/prodev\/files\/2019\/12\/UIS.png\" alt=\"UIS\" width=\"1047\" height=\"553\" class=\"wp-image-412 size-full aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/prodev\/files\/2019\/12\/UIS.png 1047w, https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/prodev\/files\/2019\/12\/UIS-300x158.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/prodev\/files\/2019\/12\/UIS-768x406.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/prodev\/files\/2019\/12\/UIS-1024x541.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1047px) 100vw, 1047px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is BU&#8217;s internal system for student records as well as course scheduling. This program will need to be downloaded onto your office computer. You will also need to\u00a0contact <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/casit\/\">CAS IT<\/a> to receive a username. It depends on when and where the student has taken the course, and also depending on matriculation.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Prior to Matriculation:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>A course from a U.S. college<\/em> <\/span>&#8211; All domestic transfer credits taken before matriculation are processed by the Credit Evaluation Office <a href=\"mailto:credeval@bu.edu\">credeval@bu.edu<\/a>, 617-353-2319.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>A course from an international college<\/em><\/span> &#8211; All international transfer credit taken before matriculation are processed by International Admissions <a href=\"mailto:intadmis@bu.edu\">intadmis@bu.edu<\/a>, 617-353-4492.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>After Matriculation:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>A course from a U.S. college<\/em> <\/span>&#8211;\u00a0 Students should talk to their advisor first, and then fill out the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cas\/cas-advising-transfer-credit-pre-approval-form\/\">CAS Advising Pre-Screen Form\u00a0<\/a>to see if the course they want to take has already been approved for BU credit through the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/students\/transfer-equivalency\/\">BU TES database<\/a>. That database\u00a0lists transfer courses that have previously and successfully transferred into BU.\u00a0 <strong>It is important to remember that t<\/strong><span><strong>ransfer courses cannot carry Hub units.<\/strong> Transfer credit must be taken at an accredited college or university and<strong> a grade of C<\/strong> is required for courses to be eligible to transfer. Courses receive no more than the number of credits earned at the host institution. Students must consult with the Program Manager <b>prior<\/b> to applying for an international study program in order to determine if the program they have selected is acceptable under University\u00a0 Policy.
