This time around we will be reading<a href=\"https:\/\/tarawestover.com\/book\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><em>Educated<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, a memoir by Tara Westover about her troubled upbringing and her educational journey from being self-taught to receiving her PhD. We\u2019re hoping for lively discussions about the impacts of higher education, about the importance of learning, and also about Westover\u2019s transformative life in general.<\/p>\n<p>We will be meeting twice to discuss<span><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span><em>Educated<\/em>, on<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>August 7<sup>th<\/sup><span>\u00a0<\/span>from 11am to 12pm (location TBD)<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and on<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>August 21<sup>st<\/sup><span>\u00a0<\/span>from 1pm \u2013 2pm (location TBD)<\/strong>.
