Nothing in health care is more important than how doctors, patients and other clinicians talk to each other. Before having Ben,\u00a0determining what\u00a0influences this\u00a0communication was\u00a0the focus of my PhD research. After having Ben, determining how to create the conditions for optimal communication is more of a passion than a career.<\/p>\n

I wrote about our relationships, shared decision-making and communication with Ben’s health care team in the Journal of the American Medical Association<\/a> in June 2007. I can’t publish the full article here, but if you’d like a copy, please contact me.<\/p>\n
