When did you start fencing? Nine years ago

Why did you start fencing? During high school recruitment, the head coach, Sister Dorothy Marie told me about fencing and I couldn’t resist the prospect of being able to learn to sword fight by a nun.

What is one of your favorite fencing memories? Fencing at the London International Tournament, representing the only American team, Boston University.

What was a proud moment in your BU fencing career? 3 High School Varsity Awards, 3rd Place at a USFA tournament in Chicago, being in Top 25 at almost every tournament.

Off the fencing strip: I have learned Japanese (3 years), Spanish (4 years), Chinese (1 year), French (1 year), and Russian (3 years). And I have studied in Australia (twice), Japan, and London (twice)
