When did you start fencing? My freshman year at BU

Why did you start fencing? I had always been interesting in trying it. Then, low and behold, I found the BUFC table at Splash and I signed up. I went to all the info sessions and decided that it seemed like an awesome sport and I could do it with epic people too. What could be better?

What is one of your favorite fencing memories? There are so many. To be honest I just love all the little moments we have together. Like in the van rides and in between bouts. I did love once when I was fencing at Nationals one of my last bouts and almost everyone was there to watch and they just cheered me on. When I did win, I felt great knowing all my friends were there.

What are you most proud of in your BU fencing career? I’m most proud of how much I have improved over the past 4 years.

Off the fencing strip: I am fluent in American Sign Language. I can quote almost any Disney movie!
