I am a member of the Information Systems and Sciences (ISS) Group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University. I am also affiliated with the Division of Systems Engineering.

My current research focus is in machine learning. I am particularly interested in high-dimensional data and its interplay with sparsity, low-dimensional manifolds and networked structures. I am also interested in developing tools for machine learning under a budget and is motivated by problems arising in controlled sensing where sequential rules have to be designed.

Another focus of my recent research is on developing concepts and tools for video analytics in highly cluttered and urban scenarios.
