I run the the Data Science & Machine Learning laboratory at Boston University. The lab is involved in projects related to Machine Learning, Vision & Learning, Structured Signal Processing, and Decision & Control. The laboratory is led by Prof. Venkatesh Saligrama.
In the area of machine learning recent research projects have dealt with resource constrained machine learning(a.k.a. BudgeML), graph-structured signal detection and recovery, topic modeling and anomaly detection. More information about our projects can be found http://sites.bu.edu/data/research/
Another focus of my recent research is on developing concepts and tools for video analytics in highly cluttered and urban scenarios. This includes search and retrieval problems in large video datasets as well as algorithms for real-time anomaly detection.

Hi
Thanks for your email. The person who was responsible for the experiments has left BU and I do not have the code. I think the algorithm is fairly straightforward. If you have questions about the paper — please let me know.

Dear Prof. Venkatesh,
I introduce myself as a Project Associate at Video Analytics Lab, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I am working on crowd flow analysis in particular anamoly detection in crowded scenarios. Recently I came across your interesting paper “Behavior Subtraction” . I would like to work on your database to validate my algorithm. I kindly requst you to issue me the database which you worked on.
Best Regards
R Gnana Praveen
