Abriana Jette: Sardinia

June 18, 2012

I’ll be headed to Sardinia, a place D.H. Lawrence once described as “lost between Europe and Africa, and belonging to nowhere.” I, too, hope to get lost between the quickly shifting landscapes, between the soft white sands and the rugged cliffs. The island is rich in antiquity and tradition, a characteristic of place I am most interested in within my poetry so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the local customs and flavors, and along the way rediscover myself.

You can read all about my travels on my blog: http://blogs.bu.edu/anjette/
