L.E. Goldstein: Ecuador

L.E. Goldstein will be spending 3 months in central and Northeast Ecuador. She is interested in ethnopoetics and learning about oral poetry, literature, and spiritual beliefs found in this rich natural environment in and around the rainforest. She is also interested in communities that do not heavily rely on petroleum, but are still being drilled in order to export to the United States and other Western countries, which will greatly influence her poetic project that explores the affect of America’s petroleum addiction on children.
