Mark Kern is a leader in the gaming industry. Mark possesses over 14 years of development experience for major game entertainment companies, including Blizzard Entertainment, Naughty Dog, and Interplay. Mark has just introduced “FireFall” a new videogame. The game is not so much a game as it is a proposed global economy. He was team lead on World of Warcraft (an enormous virtual world) and a key player in the development of MMO (massively multiplayer online games). Mark’s company, Red 5 Studios, just received $20M in funding to help build FireFall: http://www.firefallthegame.com/. Mark will discuss his current work, the daily intellectual property issues he encounters, and how his law degree has helped him.
