Chemistry Outreach: Be A Volunteer Teacher!

The spring semester is coming and the Chemistry Outreach Program is calling for motivated undergraduate and graduate student volunteers to teach and mentor our future chemists!

Volunteers will travel to The English High School (Jamaica Plains), Boston Community Leadership Academy (Brighton) and Fenway High School (Boston) every other week for 2-3 hours to perform demos for students, lead short labs and tutor high school students.

BUWIC is accepting both undergraduates and graduates who have an interest in chemistry education and a desire to mentor teenagers who have minimal science resources. Transportation, supplies and lesson plans will be worked out accordingly.

Please email Anais Gervais if you are interested: agervais@bu.edu
