BUWIC Outreach Needs Volunteers!

BUWIC is seeking enthusiastic chemists to help with our chemistry outreach program!

What: BUWIC mentors will perform experimental demonstrations and offer individual mentoring/tutoring

Who: undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in chemistry and teaching it to students at the high school level

When:
Tuesdays from 8:45am to 11:30am
Fridays from 7:30am to 9:15am

Each block of time corresponds to chemistry classes at a local high school. You would be visiting the school six times total, every-other week in February, March and April.

Where: both schools are in Brighton and can be reached easily by bus or T. We'll provide you with equipment for demos and train you before you head to the school.

Undergraduates - this could be a great addition to your resume, not to mention an excellent way to sharpen your chemistry skills and learn how to communicate your scientific knowledge to a broader audience.
