Overview:
EMBARQ – The World Resources Institute Center for Sustainable Transport is seeking a coordinator to provide administrative and programmatic support for its core program, reporting to the Operations Manager. The position is available immediately.

The EMBARQ global network catalyzes environmentally and financially sustainable transport solutions to improve quality of life in cities. Since 2002, the network has grown to include five Centers for Sustainable Transport, located in Mexico, Brazil, India, Turkey and the Andean Region, that work together with local transport authorities to reduce pollution, improve public health, and create safe, accessible and attractive urban public spaces. The network employs experts in fields ranging from architecture to air quality management; geography to journalism; and sociology to civil and transport engineering. Responsibilities:
•    Assist in program planning and manage the admin incentives process.
•    Arrange program travel requirements, ensuring travel authorizations, travel advances, and visas. Complete travel expense reports upon staff return and maintain a travel file, assuring that original documents are on hand.
•    Manage softwares and team for Client Relationship Management (CRM), timesheets, calendars, and scheduling.
•    Liaise with WRI departments as necessary regarding necessary documentation and other requirements.
•    Maintain EMBARQ’s global communications tools.
•    Organize meetings/workshops, attend and take notes as necessary, track follow-up.
•    Assist in the planning and running of EMBARQ events (e.g. Transforming Transportation).
•    Train new staff on WRI and EMBARQ standard operating procedures.
•    Take on increasingly proactive program management duties and responsibilities so as to streamline EMBARQ’s administrative burden and free staff for substantive work.
•    Ad hoc responsibilities as they arise – e.g. ordering supplies, training and supervising EMBARQ’s admin interns, etc.
Qualifications:
•    A detail-oriented, highly organized individual with previous office/administrative experience.
•    Excellent written and oral communications skills in both English and Spanish.
•    Good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and the Internet.
•    Capability to learn and use software applications that are used by EMBARQ and WRI.
•    Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
•    Undergraduate degree
