Analyst, CPI SF San Francisco, USA

The Climate Policy Initiative is looking for a talented and motivated
researcher to provide research and analytical support for the San Francisco
office. Under the supervision of the San Francisco Office Director, the
analyst will help design complex research assignments in collaboration with
analysts in the SF office and other CPI offices worldwide. Strong candidates
will demonstrate solid quantitative skills, a proven interest in climate
change, clean technology research, or policy analysis, excellent written and
oral communication skills, and an ability to generate actionable rather than
academic insights.

This position will work on projects of both national and international
scope. The analyst will work in a challenging environment that requires
independent thinking as well as collaboration and problem solving with team
members, cross-disciplinary understanding, and professional interactions.
Successful candidates will be expected to pursue robust and careful
quantitative analysis. Previous experience with climate policy, carbon
markets, or regulation would be valuable.

Qualified analysts will have the opportunity to work on certain select
projects in direct support of the Executive Director, Chief Operating
Officer, and funder of CPI. We will place a premium on problem structuring,
initiative, and flexibility in our hiring.
