Meet the Chickens!

Our chickens were born in mid-January 2017 and were purchased at “Littleton Agway” on February 4.  They stayed in the guest room until the beginning of May 2017 (maybe not the best plan, but I’m a sucker), and they moved into the Flegg Fortress in early May 2017.

A quick snapshot from the day they came home, some growing, me working on the roof, the girls enjoying a dust bath, and the finished Large Garden Loft (I highly recommend this plan and buying the hardware kit).  The chickens were my dream, so I built the coop with occasional brawn and general assistance from my husband, when he was available.  He was a good egg!  😉

Our girls, all grown up (and one baby picture because she’s ridiculously pretty).

Luna and Wendy

Luna (she has been laying all winter, most days) and Wendy.  Wendy has a little “twink” in her comb, so we are able to tell them apart.  Most of the time.

Ginny

Dusty (she should have been Feather Locklear, really — she’s a stunner)
