I was invited as a speaker to an educational forum held at SNU. For a bit of background, Korean government has worked hard to launch a satellite dedicated to forest and agricultural applications. With satellites launching in 2025, we expect there will be a great need for talent in related fields!

Invited Keynote speaker at 1st ER-DGVM-C
I was invited as a keynote speaker at 1st the Eastern Regional Dynamic Global Vegetation Modeling Conference (ER-DGVM-C) which was held March 24-26, 2023, at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL).
What a great place and great people! Hope to see you all again soon!
1st annual Eastern Regional Dynamic Global Vegetation Conference
New paper from MODIS project
Our team with NCSU has published a new paper on Global Biogeochemical Cycles. In this study, we presented how vegetation seasonality regulates ecosystem productivity across diverse ecosystems using MODIS phenology product and flux tower observations. New project on coastal resilience
I've joined a coastal resilience project, which is funded by NASA. This is a collaborative project with Sergio Fagherazzi (PI) and Cedric Fischot (both colleagues at BU), and Marc Simard at NASA JPL. I will be the main team member working on this project from team LCSC, and the goal is to use remote sensing to monitor and model impacts on coastal marshes in North America from sea level rise.
Scientific Data paper!
A new paper has been published. Please find more here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-022-01570-5
Modeling leaf senescence paper in AFM
Analysis using long-term field data and Bayesian modeling reveals species-specific responses on leaf senescence processes to photoperiod versus thermal forcing, and the results have been published in Agricultural and Fores Meteorology. Found more here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.agrformet.2022.109026
New NASA funding project!
Our team has started a new NASA funding project. Over the 3-year project period, we will use the 20+ year record of global MODIS phenology measurements to explore long-term changes and variability in large-scale phenology and examine linkages between phenology, climate, and carbon fluxes.
Wow!
Another RSE paper in 2021!
