Because I presented on 11/18, I will talk about my presentation first. My theme of portfolio essay is I made progress in developing clarity through writing the three papers. I said my exhibit sources would be three feedback of paper 1, 2, 3 and the first essay in the reading assignment “Sample Ethnographies”. Dori pointed out I should use my own writing as an exhibit source instead of using others’ writing. So I need to think about how to change these others’ writing to my own writing. Maybe I will write some reflection notes for them and use the reflection notes as my exhibit sources. Tommy also suggested me to compare the first drafts and the final drafts of my papers so I can show how they became clearer than the previous one. I think this is a good idea.

Weijun talked about her experience in WR098 with Professor Kim. I think I can use this experience as well because I was also in Professor Kim’s WR098 class. Maybe I can briefly talk about my clarity in WR098 essays in my portfolio because I think writing is a process which is not limited in one semester but in my whole life.
