My favorite essay is the first one. Though intially I thought it describes too much details and is monotonous, I totally changed my idea when I finished reading it. Indeed, he explains his observation process very carefully with a lot of evidence that he seen during the observation period. Besides, his language is straightforward therefore let me understand his analysis very well.

The worst paper seems to be the second one. The author approaches his thesis through observing many aspects of it. However, it could be confused for readers that they do not sure what his concentration is.
