Cadmus seeks an Environmental Health Communications Specialist to manage
outreach/communications and pollution prevention and public health
protection projects. As a part of Cadmus’ Environmental Health Solutions
team, you will support U.S. EPA’s public and environmental health
marketing and communication efforts targeting national, state, and local
stakeholders, such as health care professionals, environmental
organizations, schools and universities, federal agencies, state and
local governments, and advocacy groups for underserved populations. You
will assist in developing partnerships with these organizations,
creating outreach materials, identifying marketing channels, and
employing a variety of techniques to reach targeted audiences including
social networking.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Develop communications and outreach materials geared toward a variety
of audiences.
· Identify potential stakeholder partnerships and foster relationships
that further environmental and public health programs.
· Manage projects, track budgets and maintain client relationships.
· Mentor and develop junior staff.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
· A bachelor level degree in communications, marketing, or a related
field (or equivalent experience) is required.
· 6-8 years of experience in marketing, communications, or outreach,
preferably in a consulting environment or in support of government
contracts.
· Experience developing, writing, editing, rewriting and/or formatting
material for publication.
· Ability to manage projects, create and track budgets, and motivate
staff members.
· Demonstrated ability to write in a variety of styles and translate
technical information for general audiences.
· Experience and/or interest in writing related to environmental health
issues strongly preferred.
This position is located in our Arlington, Virginia office and may
