from Monterey Park, CA
Joanna started her water polo career in Southern California during high school. She moved to Boston University to study hospitality, and played throughout college. Upon graduating from BU in 2012, she began assistant coaching the team. After three years, she stepped up to head coach. This will be her 9th season leading BUWWP to success. Additionally, Joanna works at the Lenox Hotel as the Conference Services Manager.

Ron Glandian, BU Men’s Water Polo Alum
from Glendale, California
Ron played water polo as an undergraduate at Boston University and graduated in 2015. He has since transitioned to a coaching role with the women’s team. This will be Ron’s 5th season as assistant coach, specializing as a goalie coach. Additionally, Ron works at Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure as a Business Development Analyst.
Hello Coaches. My name is Mari Mejia and my daughter Sabrina Morata is starting her freshmen year at BU in just a couple of days. We are so excited to find out that BU has a club water polo team! Sabrina played for her school for 5 years, won best offensive player for 2 years in a roll and was co-capitan during her senior year. We are interested in getting more info on when club practice starts and possibly join the team.
