It’s Kat, one of Dean Elmore’s trusty assistants. You may remember me from such posts as, “Dean Elmore’s in DC” and…well, that’s it.
Here in Dean Elmore’s office today, we are all sorts of hyped up about the Beanpot – both men’s and women’s – which kick off this afternoon at 5pm with our Terrier men’s hockey team taking on those men from that university on the other side of the Charles. You know, the one with all the ivy.
Then tomorrow, the Terrier women’s hockey team takes on that ivy-covered school’s women’s team in the women’s Beanpot at Northeastern’s Matthews Arena at 5pm. (Fun piece of Terrier Trivia for you – BU used to play at Matthews Arena before Walter Brown Arena was built. See the photographic evidence to your right.)
Since Dean Elmore knows you are as excited about these games as he is, we’ve set up another photo contest for blog readers, much like the one we had to win Girl Talk tickets back in the fall.
Send your best Beanpot picture to dos@bu.edu – doesn’t have to be of the action on the ice, but something Beanpot related – and you could win a cool hockey related prize. The actual factual prize is a surprise, but it will be hockey related.
