Hotel Commonwealth:

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at Hotel Commonwealth for the SIMAC3 meeting.

When calling for a reservation, please specify that you are with the Boston University SIMAC3 Workshop to receive one of these hotel rooms and the meeting rate.

Here are the details on the rooms:

• $249/night plus tax, and all rooms include complimentary wireless internet access.

Hotel Buckminster:

We are happy to announce we also have rooms available at the Hotel Buckminster in Kenmore Square. There are 10 on hold for November 3rd and 4th, and 3 rooms also for the 5th in the event anyone wishes to stay an extra day. The rooms are on hold until October 23, though the discount rate will be available afterwards assuming free rooms are still open in the hotel.

When calling, please mention the Boston University SIMAC3 Workshop, and express to them that you would like one of the newly renovated rooms.

Here are the details on the rooms:

• There are FOUR two Bedroom Units consisting of two separate bedrooms with a Queen size bed in each bedroom at a discounted rate of $205/night plus tax.
• THREE Two Bedroom Units with 3 beds consisting of two separate bedrooms with a Queen size bed in one bedroom and two full size beds in another room at a discounted rate of $215/night plus tax.
• THREE Premium Suites consisting of Two separate bedrooms with a Queen size bed each bedroom and a living room at a discounted rate of $215/night plus tax.

Every room has a refrigerator and a microwave.

Reaching BU/Kenmore Square from Logan Airport:

From Logan, there are two main options to get to BU/Kenmore Square:

Taxi:

Take a taxi from Logan to Kenmore Square. Both the Buckminster Hotel and Hotel Commonwealth are in Kenmore Square, with Buckminster on the west side and Hotel Commonwealth on the southeast side.

Public Transit (the T):

The Blue Line is accessible from Logan International Airport. Take an inbound Blue Line train (towards Bowdoin) until the Government Center stop. At Government Center, transfer to the Green Line (a free transfer). Take a C Green Line towards Cleveland Circle (do NOT get on an E or on a train which says “Leechmere”). Take the C Line six stops until the Kenmore Square stop.
