The Boston University Synchronized Skating Team was formed in 1999 under the direction of Barbara Pinch, BU’s former Coordinator of Skating. Ever since, our team has grown and become stronger with each new season. We have placed at regional competitions and have traveled to many National Championships across the United States.

We have tryouts every year and encourage all levels of skaters to come skate with us — even if you have never done synchro!  Many of our skaters come from a freestyle background with no synchro experience.  Synchronized skating is a great way to continue skating in college,  especially if you want to be a part of a fun loving team:)

Fundraising and Dues:

The Boston University Synchronized Skating Team is a club sport and receives some university funding.  However, it is not enough to cover all out expenses; therefore, each skater is required to pay dues that are split into monthly payments.  The cost of each season varies depending on different apparel, travel, and other expenses.  We always try to fundraise and keep costs as low as possible so everyone has the opportunity to skate.
