More than 650 students and their teachers attended the New England Scholastic Press Association’s 62nd annual conference at Boston University’s College of Communication Friday, April 30.
The 43 different session topics on the program ranged from what journalism majors can expect to study to organizing online copy flow.
Speakers included the College of Communication’s dean, Tom Fiedler, faculty members, journalism professionals from the New England region, and high school magazine, newsmagazine, newspaper, online publication and yearbook advisers and staff members.
Along with the results of All-New England and Special Achievement contests, those at the conference received tips from the New England Scholastic Press Association’s Board of Judges on how staffs can improve writing, content and presentation.
