- Schoolchildren and the elderly of Leeds, UK, come together in an exhibition of original artwork and photographs inspired by the poetry of William Wordsworth in “Creative Communities: Wordsworth in Leeds.”
- Jay Martel of the New Yorker imagines Donald J. Trump’s reactions to the classics, including Don Quixote and Hamlet, in the President’s medium of choice: Twitter. WIN!, Enjoy!, Media is fake!, etc.
- Turns out that chickens demonstrate Machiavellian schemes, according to a paper by neuroscientist Dr. Lori Marino in Animal Cognition. (They are also capable of basic math, if you were wondering.)
- In the wake of recent earthquakes in central Italy, some worry about the fate of Michelangelo’s David, proposing that the fragile sculpture be moved from Florence’s Galleria dell’Accademia to an earthquake-proof museum.

- The Polish government recently bought the Czartoryski art collection, one that is comprised of 250,000 historical manuscripts and documents and 86,000 museum artifacts, including Rembrandt’s Landscape with the Good Samaritan as well as a number of the artist’s sketches.
