Analysis of a Cross-Cultural Interview
1. Initially, I thought Indian people have taboos on eating beef, but Rhea told us that convention was centuries ago. People now eat all kinds of food from different part of the world. There are about three people in an Indian’s family, which is pretty similar to the size of a Chinese family.
2. Indian people like beans during the meal, but Chinese people do not always eat beans during the meals. Sometimes I like to eat some ginger, scallions and garlics, which most of the people consider them as just ingredients or seasoning, and they never eat them and some may feel disgusting while chewing them, however, I think they tastes really good.
3. Indian people also think that dinner is the most important meal during a day and they eat seafood as well.
4. American people would never eat meat from dogs or cats, but Chinese people do. Maybe some of the Chinese students even consumed it before.
