My name is Ali Parisi and I’m in graduate school…. My name is wait, no, that can’t be right. That would mean that I’m an adult…or it means I’m trying to put off adulthood for as long as I can. Yeah, that’s more like it. I grew up in Los Angeles, California. After making the decision to turn down an offer to play soccer at Pepperdine University, I decided to come to Boston University for college. The city, the campus, the people – everything about it just felt right. So I took a leap of faith. After a series of fortunate events, I was even able to walk onto the soccer team. Three years later, very satisfied with my decision, I found myself facing graduation a little earlier than expected. I had majored in Communication Studies, but I still wanted more preparation for a career in communication. Public relations stood out, and BU has one of the best programs in the country. Plus, why would I want to leave a city like Boston?
