Student Leadership Programs (SLP) prepares students for leadership roles and responsibilities through opportunities that develop and enhance a personal philosophy of leadership that includes an understanding of self, others, and community and assist students in gaining varied leadership experiences.
Earners of this badge have demonstrated their ability to self-identify, develop SMART goals and engage with others. They are able to develop a plan to accomplish goals and work towards those goals.

Outstanding contributions to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service. During the period 10/1/21 to 3/1/22, John Aghadiuno exceptionally supported the mission of Military Pay. In anticipation of Microsoft Internet Explorer’s (IE) end of life, the Defense Military Pay Office (DMO) System Web Team updated their legacy Internet Explorer-based web applications to use faster, more secure browsers. The team not only ensured that all business-critical functions continued to work outside of IE but also made improvements to modernize many of the older applications. The team successfully eliminated the security risks associated with relying on an unsupported web browser. Our DMO customers made a seamless transition to alternate browsers.
Outstanding contributions to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service. During the period 3/1/2021 to 8/31/2021, John Aghadiuno was assigned to several DMO projects and progressed working on the browser compatibility project. The team fixed every web application to make sure it works properly in all available Web browsers. John just completed the DMR Home page and customers like its new fresh look.
