Japan and Korea in China-US Relations: A Reappraisal of the Post-War Order
Join me and other panelists of the 2019-2021 Korea Foundation Core Working Group on Japan and Korea in China-US Relations on August 31, 2020 at the Special Panel of the AAS-in-Asia 2020 on livestream by The International Academic Forum (IAFOR). The roundtable session is entitled, ‘Japan and Korea in China-US Relations: A Reappraisal of the Post-War Order’.
We are preparing a special issue submission to a peer-reviewed journal, Asian Studies Review. I will be showcasing some preliminary findings from my potential contribution, ‘COVID-19, Contactless Economy and the Acceleration of Tech Wars: The U.S.-China Race for Supremacy in Artificial Intelligence Enforcing South Korea-Japan Chip Wars’.
Note: This panel is a continuation of the KF project on Japan-Korea Relations in U.S.-China Relations, of which the first workshop was held at the National Library of Korea in Seoul in November 2020, and the first online panel, ‘The COVID-19 and the Crisis of Global Pandemic and the Crisis of Global Politics: A View from Asia’, held on May 28, 2020. The special panel is sponsored by the Korea Foundation and IAFOR as the subsequent panel to the first online panel, live-streamed from Kobe, Japan where AAS-in-Asia 2020.
Update: For those that have missed the special panel, you can watch it online on the IAFOR Facebook page here.
