At the end of 2020, I participated in an expert survey conducted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, called ‘Perception of the Planned EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism in the Asia Pacific’.
Set to be proposed by the EU Parliament in June 2021 for implementation from 2022, there are questions that may arise in addition to the geoeconomics conflict among the major players – EU, China and the United States. This report is a survey on the potential responses from APAC economies once introduced.
CBAM will be covered in one of the sessions of the closed seminar series I am moderating on energy and climate change in relation to trade policy on behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul under a U.S. Department of State research grant in 2021.
By participating in the study, we built 2,000 trees by going pro bono through partnership with One Tree Planted, a non-profit with a focus on global reforestation. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳*200!!!
