Katja Davidoff is a Senior Lecturer at CELOP. She teaches English, French, Spanish, and Yoga. She loves to cook and to design sweaters in her spare time. Her students are always a source of inspiration! Their creativity abounds and she loves to see what they have to offer the world.
Felix Poon is the Group Programs coordinator at CELOP. Outside of CELOP, he teaches capoeira, a Brazilian dance and martial art. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, living in Boston since 2008, Felix enjoys photographing events happening in Boston, especially at CELOP. A little known fact: Felix was born on January first, a “New Years baby”!
Osaid Ali was born in Almadina, Saudi Arabia in 1996, June 9th. This is his first semester in Celop, and plans to be at Celop 3 semesters or more until he becomes an expert at English. He loves engineering, and hopes to be a mechanical engineer and businessman at the same time! Don’t ask him how! Wait and you will see. His message is “So basically, love what you do to do what you love. And never give-up.”
Maria Tomeho-Palermino is a Mainer who has lived and traveled in many parts of the world due to her work at Boston University. She is of Italian-American descent and has strong ties to her roots. She was born and raised in Portland, Maine, but now resides in Medford, just outside of Boston. She has been with CELOP for more than 25 years and has been fortunate to meet many different types of individuals, students, and teachers, and to work in a wide variety of interesting programs.

Sihun Kim is a Celop Student. He was born in Seoul, Republic of Korea. His major was Politics and Japanology, and his minor was Korean language education. He is a pretty laid back, easygoing kind of guy who loves photography, traveling, cooking, singing, and Nexen Heroes (a Korean baseball team). When he was a junior in college he traveled around the world to about seventeen countries in all continents except Oceania. He is active as an amateur photographer on his blog, itSHUN.kr and facebook page, Studio it’SHUN.
Rawabi Alsuwailem was born in Saudi Arabia. She is a graduate student. Studying in the U.S. is her biggest dream. Her major is computer science and she will complete her studies in the same field. She likes technology and science. She believes that one day she will be like Steve Jobs. Her family and her teachers are her inspiration. They are the source of her power. Her brother is her best friend in the U.S. She likes spending her free time with him. She likes learning and discovering new things, and that is why she studied computer science, because every year we have new things in technology. She likes writing; she can write poetry and short stories. The first time she wrote for a news paper, she was 16 years old. She likes designing furniture. Sometimes she uses the computer to design. She is happy to be in Boston because it is an educational city where one learns every day.
Rina Hirate is a student who is studying at CELOP. Born in Kanagawa, Japan, she was living in Tokyo from 2006 to 2014. This is her second semester at CELOP and she is planning to apply to university as an undergraduate transfer student next fall. She is outgoing, vigorous, and cheerful. She loves to know and visit delicious restaurants! Please tell Rina if you know of the perfect place to visit!
Sultan Aburezeza was born in Jeddah, on the West Coast of Saudi Arabia. He aspires to become an engineer. He came to Boston in the middle of 2012. He loves reading and encouraging others. He is optimistic, a natural brave leader and a great adviser. Let’s take advantage and get BENEFIT from him. His guide in life is “Put PASSION, ahead of TRAINING”
Maysur Jabr is from Saudi Arabia. Actually, she was born in a famous city in the west of her country. It is called Makkah Al Mukarama. She is a journalist. She has 5 years experience in journalism. She has worked at the Makkah Newspaper since 2013. She has been in Boston for 10 months. She is studying at Boston University CELOP. She came to the USA to study for a Digital media master’s degree. She used to work in the Boston University Saudi Cultural Club as a Media Department Manager. She has also worked as a volunteer in the Media Department in SACM. She likes to help everyone no matter what they need, so she and her friends established The Friends of Society volunteer Group in Boston. She joined the Celop Sun to write some articles, create infographics and design.
