Winter and the new year are often times of celebration, and reflection.  We celebrate our achievements of the past year, and we reflect on what we have learned to consider how our lives change.  This is what we hope to achieve in the December 2015 issue of the CELOP Sun.

First, we celebrate with a tribute to CELOP’s 40th anniversary: a lip dub of Jackson 5’s ABC!  Next, we share some students’ essays: 2 reflecting on the book A Fort of Nine Towers by Qais Akbar Omar and the talk given by the author himself at CELOP, and 2 reflecting on the Salem Witch Trials and students’ class trip to Salem.  We’re also sharing some photos taken this month that capture the spirit of the season.

Finally, we leave you with a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the CELOP Sun!  This was our first year of publication, and we could not have done it without your contributions!  We wish everyone a happy holiday season!  May yours be safe, festive, and filled with warmth, family, and friends!  See you again in 2016!
